Search Engine Ranking for March 10

Search engine war continues. Google's search market share in US began to gradually encroached by Bing. Last March, Bing's market began to increase while Google slipped slightly.

Based on comScore data, quoted by AFP on Saturday (10/4/2010), in March Bing's search market share increased to 11.7 percent from 11.5 percent on the previous month. This is a continuing improvement during the past 10 months. comScore also found an increase in Yahoo's search market share from 16.8 percent in February to 16.9 percent in March.

For two other search engines, Ask.com and AOL, each record market share only captured 3.8 percent and 2.5 percent from all US core search. While AOL was not experiencing any movement on the market share, Ask.com increased one percent from the previous month which reached 3.7 percent.

Microsoft seems to successfully introduce Bing as an alternative search engine that can be relied upon other than Google. I heard that Microsoft spent almost USD 100 million for campaign funds. Great.. I really love to watch their war!
