If you're celebrity, would you build a celebrity blog?

Love to hear celebrity gossip? I guess, more than 50% people in this earth will do. Yahoo popular search or Google hot trend apparently will also say something similar to my opinion. Look at this. At the time of this writing, here are the top ten searches on Yahoo.com :

Conan O'Brien, Alyssa Milano, Eyjafjallajokull, Ryan Philippe, Chris Rock, Jay-Z, Shakira, NFL Mock Draft, 1906 San Francisco Quake and Coachella.

And here are the USA hot searches on Google trends:

CBS.com, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Brooks and Dunn, Emily West, Laura Bell Bundy, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, Cher and Carrie Underwood.

See? It's even more than 50% from those hot searches on popular search engine are looking for artist and celebrity news.

Not trying to be a smarter guy, but I just got a feeling that celebrity world is all about gossip. Married, divorced, scandals, private life, girl friend, engaged, pass away, giving birth to a child and all sort things that normally common for ordinary people will suddenly change to something bigger and different when done by an artist or celebrity. People will then start buzzing and wanting updates. It's a proof that people are the main factor to influence the celebrity's popularity.

So.. I'm not an artist or celebrity. But if I were a celebrity, I would certainly build a celebrity blog of my own. Either less popular or has-been-popular celebrity needs to build a celebrity blog to provide updates and communicate with their fans. The special character of blog, which allows visitors to leave comments, will act such a powerful feature to understand the crowd and be closer to them. By building blog, celebrity can also clarify bad gossips that might be disturbing good profile branding that has been properly built up. In short, building a blog will bring more benefit to both sides, the celebrity and the fans.
